Remote Controls


Oceanic Cable utilizes many different types of remote control hand units (remotes). Initially, these remotes are programmed to control your cable box. However, some remotes can be programmed to control your TV's on/off switch and audio volume. Some remotes can even control your VCR.

Programming these remotes is simple. You can do it at home. Generally, all you do is press the SETUP button, then enter a "code number" (the code number corresponds to your TV set's brand), and then press the SETUP button again.

Find your remote from the pictures below and follow the setup instructions.

  1. Find your remote control code number.

  2. Press and hold SETUP button (Indication light should flash twice)
  3. Press TV or VCR button and release
  4. Enter 3 digit code
  5. Press TV or VCR button again
  6. If it does not work repeat with next code

  2. Press and hold TV or VCR button to be programmed until the four mode indicator lights flash 2 times (twice)
  3. Enter 3 digit code
  4. Press POWER button
    (Hint: Four mode indicator lights = the four device keys at the top of the remote control Aux, VCR, Cable, TV)

  2. Press F button
  3. Enter 3 digit code
  4. Press the TV or VCR button
