With all the technical terms floating around about mobile broadband, you can feel overwhelmed. There’s no reason to be confused. Below, you’ll find basic definitions for common terms related to Road Runner Mobile and the Time Warner Cable 4G Mobile network.



4G Mobile Network
Time Warner Cable’s next-generation communications network that offers customer mobile broadband access nearly anytime, anywhere. Data transfer speeds are super-fast and comparable to Road Runner High Speed Online cable speeds.

3G Network
Nationwide network that supports your mobile coverage outside of your local 4G Mobile area. While not as fast as 4G Mobile, the network offers accelerated data transfer at fast DSL-like speeds.

Cell Tower
A physical setup where 4G Mobile and 3G National antennas and equipment are placed at a substantial height to form a cell in a mobile network.

Computer Requirements
The basic equipment you need in order to access the Time Warner Cable 4G Mobile Network. The requirements include a computer running Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Mac OS X, a CD-ROM drive, and either a USB or PCMCIA card slot.

Connection Manager
Software included with your Road Runner Mobile Card that provides one-click connectivity to the Time Warner Cable 4G Mobile Network. It offers a convenient interface that allows you to manage all of your wireless connections.
