Oceanic was proud to continue our support of the FIRST Regional Robotics Competition, held in March at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
The event brought together the best and brightest of Hawai’i’s high school students and challenged them to design and build robots to compete against each other and complete a variety of tasks. This year’s theme, Recycle Rush, brought attention to the exhaustion of natural resources and the importance of recycling.
The tournament champion this year was the three-team school alliance of Waialua, McKinley and Kealakehe High Schools. The team advanced to the World Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, which was held in April.
Oceanic congratulates all the student competitors!
